God:
We believe in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel, whom alone we worship and serve. In sovereign love God created the world, is the eternal, unchanging, all-powerful, all-knowing, all-wise, all-loving, completely just and perfectly holy, sovereign Ruler and Sustainer of the universe. This same God made everything and everyone equally in God’s image, male and female, of every race and people, to live as one community…We believe that the one true and living God eternally exits in three distinct persons in one divine essence Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
The Bible:
We believe that the bible is the inspired Word of God which contains both the Old and New Testament, as a revelation from God to humankind. It is the center point of how we know and learn about God. It’s inerrant, immutable, infallible authoritative in its original writings that is superior to but not contrary to reason. It is trustworthy for both rule and practice of our faith.
Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ, the second person of the trinity, on earth was both fully God and at the same time completely man. He was the only begotten son of God, born of a virgin, and lived a sinless life. He has purchased our redemption through his perfect obedience and substitutionary death for us in satisfying divine justice and accomplishing salvation for all who would believe and trust in him. He ascended into Heaven, where He is seated at the right hand of the Father interceding as the high priest. He will come again with glory to judge the living and the dead.
Salvation:
We believe that Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or any human efforts. It has been provided by the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross which is the sole basis for the forgiveness of sins, effects the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit, and is the only way for eternal redemption for the believer.
The Church:
We believe that the local church is the Hope of the world and consists of a community of faithful born-again believers in Christ. The church contains the habitation of God through the Spirit and those who have been redeemed through the blood of Jesus Christ. The church also represents those who have been joined together for the worship of God for edification through the Word of God, for prayer, fellowship, sharing the gospel, and observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s supper.
Holy Spirit:
We believe that the Holy Spirit is a divine person eternally one with the Father and with the Son who assures us of our relationship with Christ. The Holy Spirit guides believers into all truth, exalts Christ, and convicts’ people of sin. The Holy Spirit regenerates, sanctifies, and preserves believers to expand the mission of the global church. Evidence of the Holy Spirit is seen in the fruits of the Holy Spirit, speaking in unknown tongues, gifts of the Holy Spirit, and are to be earnestly desired and practiced.
Baptism:
We believe that baptism by immersion is one of the ordinances of the church and is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. It should be observed as commanded by the scriptures and declares to the world that they have died and also have been raised with Christ to walk in the newness of life.
